I had a wonderful time recently, doing this Chinoiserie hand-painted Tree of Life. It was executed on a lovely curved wall of the breakfast room at the Brunswick Inn in Brunswick, Maine. I used acrylic paint and took cues from one of the fabrics that was used in the room. Then I sculpted and applied some white blossoms, (some blossoms are painted) and a dove.
The enthusiasm and support from Helen and Charlie Hornor, the Innkeepers’ children was FUN-damental! ….and I went with Charlie’s astute palate suggestions for the particular browns and greens!
